Deià Village
The small mountain village of Deià in the Tramuntana is one of the most beautiful and culturally significant villages in Spain, with its cascade of terracotta-roofed stone houses clinging to the mountainside above the sea. The English poet Robert Graves lived here for much of his life (1929-1985), attracting a community of artists and writers that continues to this day. The village has excellent restaurants, a small museum, and a cala beach accessible by steep path.
