Gostilna Sokol

Gostilna Sokol is a long-running Old Town tavern at Ciril-Metod trg 18 in Ljubljana, in the central Slovenia region. It occupies a vaulted cellar close to the cathedral and the Central Market, in the oldest part of the city, and it serves Slovenian specialities every day of the week. The cellar setting, with its arched brick-and-stone ceilings, gives the place a sense of age that matches its traditional menu.

The food is classic Slovenian tavern cooking. Dishes associated with the venue include Kranjska klobasa (Carniolan sausage), Idrijski žlikrofi (small filled dumplings from Idrija) and štruklji (rolled dumplings served savoury or sweet).
