Sierra Leone has a tropical climate with two distinct seasons: a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October. Freetown is one of the wettest capital cities in the world, receiving over 3,000mm of rainfall annually, mostly concentrated in June-September. Temperatures remain consistently warm year-round, ranging from 24-32°C, with high humidity throughout.

Heavy tropical rainfall, particularly June-September when daily downpours are common and flooding can affect Freetown roads. Lush, green landscape with fewer tourists and significantly lower accommodation prices.
