Hostel Nova Sad

Hostel Nova Sad is located on Bulevar oslobođenja, one of Novi Sad's principal thoroughfares, close to the city's main train station and a short walk from Freedom Square at the centre of the pedestrian zone. The position gives guests direct access to Novi Sad's street-car network and the main commercial strip. Petrovaradin Fortress across the Danube is reachable in about 20 minutes on foot via the Varadin Bridge, and the bus station serving regional and international routes is nearby.

The hostel occupies a residential building adapted for budget hospitality, with interiors kept clean and functional rather than design-led. The communal atmosphere is relaxed and oriented toward backpackers and independent travellers moving through the Western Balkans corridor between Belgrade and Budapest. A social common room serves as the gathering point, with a notice board for traveller tips and local event listings.

Dormitory accommodation ranges from four- to eight-bed mixed rooms with bunk beds, individual reading lamps, and power sockets. A smaller number of private rooms are available for couples or those seeking more privacy. Shared bathrooms are cleaned multiple times daily.

The communal kitchen is equipped for basic self-catering — stove, microwave, refrigerator, and utensils. There is no on-site restaurant, but the surrounding streets have cafés, bakeries offering burek and pastries, and sit-down restaurants within a five-minute walk at prices well below Belgrade averages.

Bike rental is available through the hostel and is one of the most practical ways to explore Novi Sad's flat urban core and the Danube riverfront promenade. Staff speak English and are well-briefed on EXIT Festival logistics, local day trips, and access to Sremski Karlovci wine village by local bus.
