The spa is oriented mainly towards hotel guests; outside visitors are sometimes accepted for treatments, but access should be confirmed by telephone with the hotel before travelling out from central Porto. Booking is by reservation rather than walk-in, and treatments are typically priced in the €70–€150 range, mid-market for Porto and noticeably below the city's top-tier hotel spas. The location suits travellers who want distance from the crowds of Ribeira and Gaia: the riverside path outside runs towards the city, and the Freixo bridge and the eastern Douro banks are quiet in a way the historic centre no longer is. A treatment combined with pool and thermal access makes a straightforward half-day.
