Praia de Vila do Conde

The beach draws a mostly local and regional crowd rather than international tourists, giving it a more relaxed, low-key atmosphere on weekdays. Access from Porto is straightforward via the CP Metro Line B extension to Modivas, followed by a roughly 15-minute bus or taxi ride to the sand, or a direct drive of about 40 minutes. The combination of open Atlantic beach and a walkable historic town centre nearby makes Vila do Conde a good half-day trip that combines sand time with heritage sightseeing.
