Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort stands on the limestone cliffs above the fishing village of Carvoeiro in the Lagoa municipality, 500 metres from the village beach and 15 kilometres east of Portimão. Three outdoor swimming pools form the social hub of the resort, including a large main pool with an extensive sun terrace and a quieter adults-only pool with direct cliff views. A gym with cardio and resistance equipment operates daily. Two tennis courts are bookable through reception. The concierge arranges bicycle hire, golf transfers to Gramacho, Silves and Vale de Lobo, boat-trip bookings and local excursions.

Tips for visiting
- Superior sea-view rooms on the upper floors of the main wing have the most direct Atlantic views; standard rooms on the garden side are quieter but lose the cliff panorama.
- Carvoeiro village is a five-minute walk and offers multiple seafood restaurants at lower prices than in-hotel dining, particularly well-suited to grilled fish lunches.
- The adults-only pool has a better cliff view than the main pool and is generally less busy — even in peak August it is usually possible to find a lounger there.
