The Quinta do Lago Coastal Boardwalk is a boardwalk and sand-track route from the Quinta do Lago wooden bridge toward the ocean beach and Faro Island, in the Ria Formosa Natural Park of Portugal's Algarve region. The start is at the wooden bridge on the Estrada da Quinta do Lago, 8135-024 Almancil, about 20 minutes by taxi or ride-hailing service from Faro. Visitors who drive can park near the bridge, and no permit is required.

The walk is about 5 km linear, taking 1.5 to 2.5 hours one way, with flat terrain and no meaningful elevation gain. Surfaces alternate between raised timber boardwalk, firm sand and softer dune sand, and the soft sections slow progress noticeably. Technical difficulty is low, but the route is fully exposed to sun and wind with very little shade, so it feels longer in hot weather. Boardwalk sections protect the fragile dune vegetation and help with orientation.

The route passes over the lagoon, then through dune and pine scrub before reaching the ocean beach, where walkers can swim in summer. Views extend across the Ria Formosa lagoon, with waders and other birds visible from the bridge and marsh edges. Because the route is linear, walkers can turn around at any point, and many choose to stop at the beach before retracing their steps, allowing time for the return so that the last taxi or onward connection is not missed.

There are no refuge huts and no dependable water sources along the route, so visitors should carry at least one litre of water, along with a hat, sunscreen and swimwear if a beach stop is planned. Closed walking shoes are advisable on the sandy stretches. Walkers are expected to remain on the boardwalks and marked tracks to protect the dunes, avoid disturbing nesting birds and take all rubbish with them. Wind and heat can be strong in summer, and spring and early autumn offer the most comfortable conditions.
