Hitchhikers Backpackers Lima occupies a converted house on Calle Bolognesi in Miraflores, one of Lima's safest and most walkable districts. The hostel sits a short walk from the Miraflores boardwalk (Malecon) and Larcomar shopping center, with the cliffside paragliding launch point and the district's restaurant and bar streets all reachable on foot, and frequent transit connections into central Lima nearby. The building has a relaxed, sociable backpacker character, built around an open patio with BBQ facilities and a rooftop terrace where guests gather in the evenings. Accommodation is split between dormitories in 4, 6, and 8-bed configurations and private rooms, some with shared bathrooms and some en suite; all rooms include lockers and power outlets for guests' belongings. There is no on-site restaurant, but a guest kitchen lets travelers cook their own meals, and a simple bread-and-jam breakfast is included each morning. There is no spa, pool, or fitness center. Service is informal and traveler-focused: staff run a 24-hour front desk, organize group activities, and assist with trip planning, while two lounges with a DVD library, a small games room, free bicycle rental, and baggage storage round out a setup aimed squarely at backpackers, overlanders, and long-term budget travelers rather than business guests or families.
