Fort Road Food Street sits on Fort Road in the Shahi Mohallah area of the Walled City of Lahore, a pedestrianised stretch lined with rooftop and terrace restaurants facing Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort. This is a self-guided walk rather than a booked tour: visitors choose their own route between the street's restaurants, most of which serve Lahori and Punjabi menus of grilled meats, karahi, biryani and naan, with rooftop seating that overlooks the mosque and fort. Because there is no guide or set itinerary, the number of stops and the balance of savoury versus sweet dishes depends entirely on which restaurants a visitor chooses to sit at, though most menus lean heavily savoury with dessert available separately at some venues.
