Bathrooms are shared between guests and cleaned daily; cold-water showers are the standard, with hot water available on request in the cooler dry-season months from November through February. A small central courtyard shaded by a mature tree is the social hub of the property, where guests gather in the evenings to exchange notes on road conditions, border crossings, and onward destinations across West Africa. The informal information exchange here is genuinely valuable — the guest roster on any given night often includes overlanders with recent first-hand experience of routes into Burkina Faso, Mali, or through to Agadez. A simple breakfast of tea, instant coffee, and bread with jam is available at a modest daily surcharge. No other meals are prepared on-site, but staff can direct guests toward reliable local eating spots within a five-minute walk. The team has extensive informal knowledge of Niamey transport: which bush-taxi routes serve which districts, where to rent a motorcycle for a day, and how to find legitimate guides for the National Museum or the weekly Saga livestock market. Wi-Fi from the family router reaches most of the courtyard, though speeds reflect the wider neighbourhood infrastructure.
