Mukul sits on a private 1,500-acre estate called Guacalito de la Isla along the Tola coastline, approximately 90 km south of Managua on Nicaragua's Pacific shore. The resort was developed by the Pellas family, Nicaragua's most prominent business dynasty, and opened in 2013 as the country's first internationally recognized ultra-luxury property.
