Lake in Manang District, Gandaki Province, Gandaki, Gandaki
Tilicho Lake
At 4,919 meters above sea level, Tilicho Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, a glacial jewel set in a dramatic rocky amphitheater of the Annapurna range. Accessible as a challenging side trip from Manang on the Annapurna Circuit, the lake is far less visited than Annapurna Base Camp yet arguably more dramatic. The turquoise waters surrounded by permanent snow and the raw high-altitude landscape make it one of Nepal's most extraordinary wilderness experiences.
