Naolinco Canopy and Waterfall Zipline Circuit

The Pueblo Magico of Naolinco, in the highlands north of Xalapa, sits above a canyon fed by the El Organo River that drops through a series of ten waterfalls, the largest and best known reaching about 80 metres. Local concessions operating near the falls and the Balcon de la Muerte viewpoint run canopy zip-line circuits that cross the canyon at multiple points, giving riders an aerial perspective over the cascades and the folded highland terrain rarely seen from the ground trails. No previous experience is required, and operators fit riders with a harness and helmet and give a safety briefing before the first line; minimum age and weight limits are set on-site and generally accommodate children accompanied by an adult. Staff at each platform manage braking and clip-in procedures, and lines are inspected daily as part of standard operating practice for these small, family-run circuits. The waterfalls and canyon are scenic year-round, but the October-to-March dry season offers clearer long-distance views and firmer footing on the connecting walkways between platforms; the June-October rains bring fuller waterfalls but wetter, sometimes slippery platform access.
