Isla San Pedro Nolasco Boat Excursion

Isla San Pedro Nolasco is a rugged, uninhabited island reserve about 1.5 hours by boat from Marina San Carlos, protected for its seabird colonies and its sea lion rookery, which draws snorkelers hoping to swim alongside curious pups in the shallows. Charter boats leave San Carlos in the early morning, cross open water of the Sea of Cortez, and typically anchor near the sea lion colony for snorkeling before continuing around the island to view its steep volcanic cliffs, home to nesting boobies, pelicans, and other seabirds.
