Fuente de los Perros

Fuente de los Perros is a small stone fountain along the pedestrian andador 5 de Mayo in the historic center of Santiago de Querétaro, named for the dog figures decorating its basin. Visitors pause briefly while strolling the pedestrian corridor to see the fountain's carved detail, a modest but characteristic example of the decorative stonework scattered throughout the historic center's andadores. A visit lasts only 10-15 minutes, usually as part of a longer walk along the pedestrian route rather than a dedicated stop. The fountain is easiest to appreciate at a relaxed pace during a daytime stroll, when the surrounding cafes and shops along the andador are also open. There is no particular crowding pattern since it functions as a passing point rather than a destination, making it equally pleasant to see at any time of day.
