Las Estacas Eco Park

Las Estacas is a spring-fed natural river park in southern Morelos, built around a stretch of the Río Las Estacas whose crystal-clear turquoise water flows from underground springs at a nearly constant temperature year-round. Visitors can float or swim the calm, current-driven river using provided or rented life jackets, snorkel over the sandy riverbed to see fish and aquatic plants, and walk shaded trails through dense tropical vegetation lining the banks. Floating docks and small bridges cross the river at intervals, and a network of paths connects swimming areas, picnic zones, and a series of small waterfalls and pools formed along the river's course. The park also includes a natural water park section with slides and a diving area for visitors who prefer more active options than a leisurely float. Because the spring water maintains a steady temperature regardless of season, Las Estacas draws consistent crowds throughout the year, with the heaviest visitation on weekends and Mexican holiday periods, when the park's day-pass pricing rises accordingly; weekday visits are noticeably quieter and better suited to a relaxed float or snorkel session. A half-day is enough to swim, float, and walk the main trails, while a full day allows time to explore the park's restaurant areas and additional walking paths; overnight glamping and cabin accommodations are also available for visitors wanting to extend the stay. The dense riverside vegetation and consistently clear water make it a popular stop for photography, particularly from the floating docks looking down into the turquoise pools.
