Horseback Riding through the Tepoztlán Countryside

Guided horseback riding through the countryside around Tepoztlán, in the Mexican state of Morelos, follows open trails and forest edges toward nearby hills and the village of Amatlán de Quetzalcóatl, giving riders views of the Sierra del Tepozteco's cliffs without requiring the hike up. The activity requires no prior riding experience, since guides match horses to rider skill and lead the group at a walking or gentle trotting pace suited to first-timers; most stables set a minimum age around 6-8 for supervised rides and a maximum weight limit per horse that varies by animal.
