La Surtidora

Sopa tarasca and corundas con rajas y queso are served from morning until late evening, making it useful well outside typical breakfast hours, alongside café de olla for those wanting the classic cinnamon-spiced coffee. The space has the worn, lived-in character of a business that has operated continuously for over a century, with plaza-facing tables that put diners in the middle of Pátzcuaro's daily activity rather than in a quiet dining room. There is no cocktail or wine programme of note; the cantina side leans toward simple drinks rather than a curated bar. Prices are moderate, 150-320 MXN per person. No reservations are accepted, and plaza tables fill quickly, especially around market hours and in the late afternoon when both tourists and Pátzcuaro residents use it as a meeting point.
