Bar de Los Juaninos occupies the rooftop terrace of Hotel Los Juaninos, a converted 17th-century archbishop's palace in Morelia's Centro Histórico, Michoacán, and looks straight across at the floodlit towers of Morelia cathedral. The crowd is older and more upscale than at the nearby mezcalerías, mixing hotel guests, couples and visitors, with smart-casual dress fitting the setting better than beachwear or gym clothes. There is no live band or DJ set; music stays ambient and low, keeping the cathedral view as the focus rather than a dancefloor. The drinks programme runs to cocktails, tequila and mezcal, priced as the most expensive in the city — a premium tied directly to the view rather than to any unusual ingredient sourcing. Hours run daily, generally from 5PM to 11PM, without the later weekend extension seen at bars aimed at a younger crowd. There is no cover charge, and reservations are not typically required, though the terrace operates on a first-come basis and the best spots along the front rail go early. Bottle service is not part of the format. Arriving before dusk is the standard strategy for securing a rail-side table as the light changes and the cathedral floodlights come on, making early evening the peak time to visit rather than late night.
