Playa Revolcadero Dune and Shoreline Walk

The walk is reached by taxi or private vehicle from the Acapulco Diamante resort corridor, with beach access points near the resorts and no permit required to walk the public shoreline. The route covers about 5 kilometres round trip, staying flat with under 15 metres of elevation change over low dune sections that rise gently behind the main beach. The surface is wide open sand, firmer near the waterline and softer through the low dunes, with no shade anywhere along the exposed stretch. Landmarks include the string of Diamante corridor resorts visible inland for most of the walk and the offshore shorebreak, strong enough to draw a regular surfing crowd, which narrows the walkable sand at high tide. The dune sections toward either end of the beach offer a natural turn-around point before retracing the shoreline. There are no dedicated water sources or shelters on the open beach, though resort-adjacent access points have restaurants and drink vendors. Because the shorebreak here is notably stronger than at the calmer bay beaches in central Acapulco, most visitors stick to walking rather than swimming, and lifeguard presence should be checked locally before entering the water.
