Bossa Resto Bar

Bossa Resto Bar sits on Boulevard a Zacatecas in Trojes de Alonso, in the northern part of Aguascalientes city, and runs the dinner-to-club format that dominates the state capital's upper end of nightlife. Service starts as a restaurant-bar in the evening, with a kitchen focused on contemporary Mexican and international plates, and converts into a lounge club once dinner tails off - lights down, volume up, DJ booth active and the space between tables becoming the dance floor.

Music is house and commercial electronic, with occasional live sets and guest DJs, and the transition point is generally around 11PM. The room is at its peak between midnight and 2AM. The crowd is the dressier end of the local scene, broadly 25 to 40 - professionals, group celebrations and out-of-town visitors staying in the northern hotel corridor. Dress code matters here more than at most Aguascalientes venues: smart shoes and a shirt or dress are expected, and the door refuses shorts, sportswear and sandals as a matter of routine.

The drinks programme is cocktail and bottle led. Signature and classic cocktails generally run MXN 140 to 220, wine by the glass is available, and bottle service to reserved tables - tequila, whisky or vodka with mixers - starts in the low thousands of pesos and is the norm for groups of four or more. Cover charge is roughly MXN 100 to 200 on DJ nights, sometimes waived for parties arriving for dinner, which is the most reliable way past both the charge and the queue.

Hours are Thursday to Saturday from 8PM to 3AM. The line, when there is one, forms between 11:30PM and 1AM, and reservations are strongly advisable on Friday and Saturday because seated tables are limited and standing space fills. The venue is several kilometres north of the Zona Centro, making taxi or ride-hailing the practical option. Bossa also maintains a presence at the fairground during the Feria de San Marcos in April, when its main site books out early and cover prices rise for the duration of the fair.
