One&Only Le Saint Géran

One&Only Le Saint Géran occupies its own private peninsula on the east coast of Mauritius, near Belle Mare in the Flacq district, approximately 45 minutes from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. The peninsula setting gives the resort a sense of exclusivity rare even by Mauritius standards — no public road crosses the grounds, and the property commands its own stretch of powdery white beach flanked by a sheltered lagoon on one side and the open Indian Ocean on the other.

The architecture draws on classic Mauritian plantation-house forms — broad verandas, pitched roofs, and whitewashed stonework — updated with contemporary interiors featuring hand-crafted furniture and local artworks. Concierge staff arrange golf at nearby Belle Mare Plage championship courses, helicopter island-hopping, deep-sea fishing, and submarine excursions around the east coast reef. The staff-to-guest ratio is notably high, and the team is trained to anticipate preferences without intrusiveness.
