A marina promenade of restaurants and cafes beside the Saint George Yacht Club, built after the civil war.
Zaitunay Bay is a waterfront promenade at the seaward edge of Downtown Beirut, built on reclaimed land after the civil war. It combines a yacht marina with a long boardwalk lined by restaurants, bars and cafes that look across the harbour towards the mountains. Local press counted 19 food and beverage venues here in 2024, and none had closed since April 2023, so it has been one of the more stable evening districts. The promenade is pedestrian-only and is popular with families, joggers and fishermen. Prices are higher than in Gemmayzeh or Hamra, with a main course typically $15 to $30. It sits next to the Phoenicia Hotel and the marina and is easily combined with a Corniche walk.
