Totoyama Antenna Shop, Toyama Kirari / CiC

Totoyama is Toyama Prefecture's official antenna shop, located on the first floor of the CiC building at the south exit of Toyama Station, next to the Kengo Kuma-designed Toyama Kirari complex. As a prefecture-run antenna shop rather than a general souvenir store, its selection is curated to represent food producers and craftspeople from across Toyama specifically, differing from generic station kiosks that stock nationwide convenience brands. The shelves are dominated by regional specialties: masuzushi (pressed trout sushi) in various producer brands, Toyama sake labels including small breweries not widely distributed outside the prefecture, shiroebi (white shrimp) crackers and snacks, and a smaller selection of craft items such as Takaoka copperware trinkets and Inami woodcarving miniatures. Because the shop is curated by the prefectural tourism association, the goods are close to entirely authentic regional products rather than imported trinkets. Prices are fixed and clearly marked, running from a few hundred yen for snacks to around ¥10,000 for premium sake or gift sets; cash and credit cards are both accepted, and there is no bargaining culture in a fixed-price retail shop of this kind. The shop itself is compact and can get busy with travelers picking up last-minute gifts before catching a train, particularly in the late afternoon and evening; there is no seating or food service on site, as it functions purely as a retail counter. Its convenient location inside CiC, steps from the station concourse, makes it a practical last stop for visitors who did not have time to shop elsewhere in Toyama.
