SOGAWA BASE sits inside the covered Sogawa-dori shopping arcade in central Toyama City, combining a small supermarket with a cluster of food-and-drink counters that together function as a casual, standing-bar food hall rather than a single venue. The crowd is a broad mix of shoppers, office workers stopping after work, and evening drinkers moving between counters; the setting is bright, informal, and open, with no dress code and no dedicated dance or lounge area. One counter is operated directly by a Himi craft beer producer pouring its own beers, and a separate pub stand focuses on Hokuriku-region sake, so the drinks programme spans both craft beer and regional sake rather than cocktails. Individual stalls set their own hours, but the hub generally runs from around 11:00 to 23:00, making it as viable for a midday drink as an evening one; hours can vary by stall and by day of the week. There is no cover charge anywhere in the hub, and the standing-counter format means no reservations are needed or accepted.
