Aman Venice

Aman Venice occupies the 16th-century Palazzo Papadopoli on the Grand Canal in San Polo, a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and reached most dramatically by private boat to the palazzo's own water gate. The building retains extraordinary frescoed ceilings, silk wall coverings, and Murano chandeliers original to the noble Papadopoli family, restored and paired with Aman's minimalist design sensibility so that historic rooms feel uncluttered rather than densely decorated. Rooms are organized into Piano Nobile, Garden Room, Junior Suite, and Grand Piano Nobile Suite categories, with the Piano Nobile rooms occupying the palazzo's grandest frescoed floor and the Garden Rooms opening onto a rare private garden, one of very few in central Venice. Dining is centered on an Italian restaurant serving refined regional cuisine, alongside a bar in the palazzo's courtyard; there is no pool, but the property offers Aman's spa treatments in intimate treatment rooms. The San Polo location keeps the property a few minutes from the Rialto Market and Bridge while remaining quieter than San Marco.
