Venafro preserves a Roman theatre and the remains of an amphitheatre, along with one of the most important surviving Roman water-law inscriptions, the Edict of Augustus on the local aqueduct. The town's archaeological museum, housed in the former convent of Santa Chiara, gathers sculpture and inscriptions, including a celebrated statue of Venus.
