The Pamban Bridge is a 2.3 km cantilever bridge connecting Pamban Island to the mainland, and the first sea bridge in India. The nearby Dhanushkodi, a ghost town destroyed by the 1964 cyclone, sits at the very tip of the island where the Indian Ocean meets the Bay of Bengal in a visually stunning confluence.
