Sariska Tiger Reserve, established in 1955, is a Project Tiger reserve covering 866 sq km of Aravalli hill terrain. After tigers were reintroduced in 2005, the park now has a growing tiger population alongside leopards, hyenas, jackals, and over 200 bird species. The reserve also contains ancient temples and ruins including Kankwari Fort at its center.
