Patwon ki Haveli in Jaisalmer is the largest and most ornate of the Jaisalmer havelis (merchant mansions), a cluster of five connected mansions built by the wealthy Patwa merchant family between 1800 and 1860. The havelis are famous for their extraordinarily detailed golden sandstone facade carvings — over 60 balconies showcase the finest Jaisalmer stone craftsmanship.
