One of the smallest wildlife sanctuaries in India, the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary on Chorao Island protects 438 acres of mangrove forest on an island in the Mandovi River estuary. Reached by a free government ferry from Ribandar, it's one of Goa's finest birdwatching spots with over 200 species.
