Panaji's Fontainhas is one of the last surviving examples of a Portuguese neighborhood in Asia. Its narrow cobblestone lanes are lined with colorful 18th-century houses adorned with typical Portuguese azulejo tiles, wrought-iron balconies, and red-tiled roofs. The heritage precinct also houses art galleries, heritage restaurants, and the historic St. Sebastian Chapel.
