Delhi Zoo (National Zoological Park) is one of India's largest and best-maintained zoos, spread across 176 acres adjacent to Purana Qila. Home to over 1,350 animals including Bengal tigers, white tigers, Asiatic lions, Indian rhinoceroses, hippos, and a wide variety of birds and reptiles, it is particularly popular with families. The zoo is set in beautiful landscaped grounds designed by German designer Carl Hagenbeck.
