Coronation Park in north Delhi is a haunting open-air collection of colonial-era statues, including the imposing 19th-century bronze statue of King George V that once stood at India Gate. After Indian independence, statues of British monarchs and colonial officials were relocated here, giving the park an eerie, forgotten quality. The park marks the site of the three great Delhi Durbars of 1877, 1903, and 1911.
