One of the oldest and busiest markets in India, Chandni Chowk was built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The labyrinthine bazaar stretches from the Red Fort to the Fatehpuri Mosque and contains dozens of specialized markets selling spices, textiles, jewelry, electronics, and religious items. The street food here is legendary, with Paranthe Wali Gali and the Jalebi shop near Dariba Kalan being unmissable.
