Vigla Ski Lodge

Vigla Ski Lodge sits directly on the slopes of the Vigla-Pisoderi ski center on Mount Vitsi, approximately 30 km south of the city of Florina in the Florina regional unit of Western Macedonia. The lodge operates at around 1,600 metres altitude, within the broader Prespa Lakes region where peaks rise above 2,000 metres and reliable snowfall typically extends from December through March. The approach road from Florina passes through the village of Pisoderi before climbing to the ski base area where the lodge is positioned.

The building follows a functional alpine lodge format — timber interiors, stone elements, and a layout organised around skier convenience rather than resort-style presentation. The atmosphere is unpretentious and activity-oriented. Room types include standard doubles, quad rooms well-suited to families or ski groups splitting costs, and chalet units that offer additional space for longer stays.

The on-site restaurant serves Greek mountain cuisine alongside standard fare, with portions calibrated for guests returning from full days on the slopes. The bar operates in the evening and during peak daytime periods, stocking local spirits and standard European ski-bar beverages. No spa or pool is present, but the practical infrastructure — equipment storage, boot-drying facilities, and ski-in/ski-out slope access — reflects the lodge's primary purpose.

The Vigla ski center operates a mix of beginner and intermediate runs with some advanced terrain, making it accessible to a range of skill levels. Families with children who ski, groups of friends, and intermediate skiers make up the principal guest mix. Service is informal and attentive to outdoor guests' needs. The lodge operates primarily during the winter season; summer availability during the hiking months exists but is limited and should be confirmed directly. Parking is on site. Florina city provides the nearest concentration of shops, pharmacies, and transport connections, including buses to Thessaloniki.
