The restaurant's outdoor tables are arranged in the shade of the tree on a quiet lane off Diogenous Street, where the combination of antiquity, foliage, and the proximity of the Roman Agora creates a setting that feels genuinely unchanged from earlier decades. The menu is Greek taverna in the truest sense: stuffed tomatoes and peppers slow-baked in olive oil, veal stew with orzo in tomato sauce, seasonal greens in lemon dressing, roast meats, and the standard parade of mezze plates. The kitchen does not attempt innovation and the quality is consistently reliable rather than spectacular. House wine is available by the carafe at reasonable cost. The most interesting tables are those directly under the plane tree; these fill first in good weather.
