Titan RT Suspension Bridge and Zipline, Rappbodetalsperre

The Titan RT is a 458-metre steel suspension bridge strung across the gorge just below the Rappbodetalsperre dam wall, giving pedestrians a crossing more than 100 metres above the turquoise reservoir, among the longest pedestrian suspension bridges of its kind anywhere in the world. No climbing skill or fitness beyond comfort with heights and a roughly 20-minute crossing is required, and the bridge is fitted with steel mesh sides rather than open cable, though the deck itself flexes gently underfoot in wind, which some visitors with vertigo find unsettling. A separate attraction, the Megazipline, lets visitors clip into a harness and ride a cable across part of the same gorge at speeds that can exceed 90 km/h; this requires a signed waiver and a short safety briefing from Harzdrenalin staff, and has a minimum age and weight requirement that the operator confirms at booking. Tickets for the bridge and zipline are sold separately at booths near the dam's visitor car park, and both operate year-round except in high winds or icing conditions, when Harzdrenalin closes the attractions for safety. The dam itself, Germany's tallest at 106 metres, supplies drinking water to a wide area of central Germany, and interpretive panels near the ticket booths explain its engineering.
