The Ratsherrn brewery tour is operated directly by Ratsherrn Brauerei, a craft brewery founded in 2011 that has become one of Hamburg's best-known independent beer producers. The tour takes place entirely inside the brewery's production site in the Karolinenviertel, walking participants from the mash tun and brew kettles through to the fermentation and storage tanks before finishing in the taproom. The experience is structured as a single guided walk of about 45 minutes followed by a seated tasting of four to six beers, covering the brewery's core range from pilsner to seasonal and hop-forward styles; no food is served, so the tasting is beer-only rather than a food-and-drink pairing. The ticket price includes the guided walk, all tastings, and a souvenir glass to take home, but does not include additional food, extra beers beyond the tasting flight, or transport to the site. Tours run in small to medium groups on scheduled weekend dates, are offered in both German and English, and move at a fixed pace set by the guide rather than self-directed browsing. Because the tasting is alcohol-based, dietary substitutions are limited to swapping in a non-alcoholic beer on request; the brewery does not offer food-based dietary adjustments since no meal is served.
