Bermuda Dreieck bars (Fehrfeld strip)

The Bermuda Dreieck is the informal name for the tight cluster of small bars packed along Fehrfeld, Humboldtstraße, and Sielwall in Bremen's Das Viertel district, an area better known for bar-hopping than any single destination venue. The crowd is overwhelmingly young -- students, twenty-somethings, and a scattering of older regulars -- and the atmosphere is deliberately unpolished and casual, with no dress code across the strip. Each bar sets its own tone, so the music ranges bar to bar from indie and alternative rock to electronic and hip-hop, with no single genre defining the area as a whole. Drinks lean toward cheap beer, well spirits, and simple mixed drinks rather than crafted cocktails, reflecting the strip's budget-friendly, student-oriented pricing. Evenings start around 7PM but the area does not fill in earnest until after 10PM, staying busiest on Friday and Saturday nights when the narrow streets between bars become as much a social space as the bars themselves. Cover charges are rare to nonexistent at individual bars, and the appeal of the Bermuda Dreieck is precisely that there is no need to book ahead -- visitors move freely between venues over the course of an evening.
