The Altstadt (69117) lies between the Alte Brücke, the Hauptstraße and the Schloss, and puts most sights on the doorstep but is busy and noisy at night around Untere Straße. Bergheim, west of the Bismarckplatz, has the larger chain hotels and quieter streets with tram links. Around the Hauptbahnhof and Bahnstadt are modern budget and business hotels with fast rail access to Frankfurt Airport. Neuenheim, across the Neckar via the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke, is residential with smaller guesthouses and access to the Philosophenweg. Kirchheim, Rohrbach and Handschuhsheim offer lower rates and parking at the cost of a 10 to 25 minute tram or bus ride to the centre.
