The Neckar Promenade at Neckarstaden is the riverside walkway on the northern bank of the Neckar, a short distance from the Alte Brücke in Heidelberg's Altstadt, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is the closest thing the old town has to a beach, but it is a promenade rather than a bathing spot: the shore is stone and grass steps leading down to the water, and the Neckar is a navigable river with shipping traffic and currents, so swimming is not recommended.

The river is greenish-brown and not suited to bathing. The setting is a long, open, gently curved stretch facing south across the water towards the Altstadt, the Schloss and the forested hillside, which makes it one of the most photographed views in the city. The promenade is sheltered from strong wind and has no surf. The mood is relaxed and sociable, with locals, students and visitors sitting on the grass steps, walking, jogging or cycling, particularly on warm evenings. Facilities are those of an urban riverfront: benches, nearby cafés, and a landing stage near the Stadthalle from which boat trips on the Neckar depart. There are no lifeguards and no sun loungers. Public restrooms and food are available in the surrounding streets rather than on the shore itself. Access is easy and almost entirely on foot from the Altstadt, about 0.5 km from the Alte Brücke, and bus 33 stops at Bergbahn/Karlstor nearby. The promenade continues along the river towards Neuenheim and the Neckarwiese lawn, so visitors can extend a short stroll into a longer riverside walk. Parking in the old town is restricted and expensive, so walking or public transport is the best way to arrive. Visitors can pair a riverside sit with a boat trip, then continue to the old town for dinner. Sunset is a favourite time to visit.
