Les Bains Paris is a boutique hotel and urban spa occupying a building in the 3rd arrondissement — the Marais — with a layered history reaching back to 1885, when it opened as a public bathhouse serving the local community. After decades as a legendary nightclub attracting figures including Marcel Proust, Mick Jagger, and David Bowie, the venue was converted into the current hotel and spa in 2015 under the ownership of the Missoni and Montorsi families. The renovation preserved fragments of the building's history visible throughout the public areas while installing a contemporary wellness centre in the lower levels. The spa is an urban day facility designed primarily for hotel guests and outside visitors. The design references the original bathhouse through exposed pipework, aged tiling accents, and a reclaimed industrial palette that sits naturally within the Marais aesthetic. The steam room and sauna anchor the thermal offering, supplemented by treatments in private cabins. Classic massage forms the backbone of the menu, with aromatherapy and vinotherapy — wine-based treatments developed in the Bordeaux tradition — as distinctive additions. Vinotherapy treatments use grape-derived extracts including polyphenols and resveratrol in body wraps and scrubs designed to improve skin elasticity, a nod to the French wine-country spa tradition. Pilates classes are offered on a timetabled basis. Day spa access costs €50 to €80 depending on the package and covers the steam room, sauna, and relaxation areas. Individual treatments begin at €100. A restaurant and cocktail bar on the ground floor make Les Bains a practical base for combining wellness with a meal in the Marais. Advance booking is recommended for weekend treatments.
