🌸 Spring
March-May
Mild and floral across most of France. Loire Valley lavender and apple blossoms, Provence wildflowers, and Paris garden café season begins. Some rain and cool days but increasingly warm from April.

June-August
Hot (25-35°C on the Riviera), sunny, and extremely crowded at tourist sites. Paris empties of locals in August as France goes on vacation. French Riviera at peak glamour but beaches are packed.

September-November
France's finest season for most visitors — warm September weather, autumn foliage in Alsace and the Loire, grape harvest in wine regions, and far fewer crowds than summer. Gradually cooling through October and November.
