The Musée de la Castre occupies the former castle of the monks of Lérins at the top of Le Suquet. It was founded from the collections of Baron Lycklama and others in 1877. Its galleries include Mediterranean antiquities, Himalayan and Peruvian art, musical instruments and Provençal paintings. The medieval chapel Sainte-Anne and the 12th-century tower are part of the visit, and the terrace gives a view over the harbour and bay.
