A lakeside leisure base with water sports, treetop courses and free play areas, but no swimming.
The Base de loisirs de Sesquières is a lake leisure park in the north of Toulouse, at Chemin du Pont de Rupé. It is not a supervised swimming beach: Toulouse Tourisme states that swimming is not permitted, and the Métropole page lists nautical activities instead. The base offers the Wam Park cable wakeboard, the AccroCamp treetop courses, an athletics track, a dog track and free-access areas for bicross, play, ping-pong, boules and sports.
It is useful as a lakeside day out rather than a beach. Entry to the base is free with parking, and communal nautical activities can be registered at 05 61 22 32 64. The base can be reached by car from ring road exit 33, by bus 59 (Cadène or Rupé stops), or by bike along the secondary canal of the Garonne.
