Le Couvent des Minimes — Hôtel & Spa (Arras)

Le Couvent des Minimes occupies the buildings of a 17th-century Minim friar convent on Rue Emile Legrelle, on the western edge of Arras's historic centre, five minutes on foot from Grand'Place — the UNESCO-listed square framed by Flemish Baroque arcaded facades — and a similar distance from the entrance to the Boves, a network of medieval chalk tunnels that run beneath the entire city and were used extensively by Allied forces during the First World War. The convent buildings were thoroughly restored in the mid-2000s to create a four-star hotel and spa that preserves the original stone cloisters, vaulted corridors, and interior courtyard while integrating contemporary bedroom design and modern wellness infrastructure. The 52 rooms — Classic, Deluxe, and Suite categories — have high ceilings that reflect the convent's monastic origins and are decorated with a restrained palette that prioritises natural light and calm.
