Corsica (Corse in French) is France's largest island and the fourth largest in the Mediterranean — a dramatic collision of granite peaks, ancient maquis scrubland, crystalline bays, and a fiercely proud culture that has absorbed Genoese, Moorish, and French influences while remaining unmistakably its own. This is the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, home to the GR20 — widely regarded as Europe's toughest long-distance trail — and the source of some of the finest charcuterie and cheese in France.

Corsica's nightlife scene is concentrated in summer (June–September) and clusters around the beach resorts of Porto-Vecchio and Calvi, and the harbour bars of Ajaccio. The island is not known for its club scene — the vibe leans toward long evenings at waterfront restaurants, aperitifs at marina-side bars, and occasional live music. Porto-Vecchio has the most active late-night scene; Bonifacio's citadel bars are atmospheric; Calvi's marina has reliable summer energy. Outside these areas, nightlife is minimal — most Corsican villages are quiet by 23:00.

Laid-back Mediterranean — the evening begins with aperitifs at 18:00–20:00, dinner runs 20:00–23:00, and bars continue until 01:00–02:00 in summer. Clubs are few and seasonal, opening from mid-June to mid-September only.
