Harju County is Estonia's most populous county, wrapped around the capital Tallinn on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. Visitors find a UNESCO-listed medieval old town, Baroque Kadriorg, the flooded Rummu Quarry, Padise Abbey, Keila-Joa Waterfall, the Pakri peninsula and island day trips to Aegna and Prangli, all within about an hour of the capital.
Tallinn concentrates almost all of Harju County's nightlife: medieval cellar pubs and themed bars in the Old Town, craft beer and live music in Telliskivi and Noblessner, and rooftop cocktails in the city centre. Outside the capital the evening scene is quiet, with seasonal beach terraces around Pirita and Viimsi.
Compact and walkable: nearly all venues sit within 15 minutes on foot in the Old Town, with a second cluster in Kalamaja.
